"The overall approach of not only discussing teaching practices that work in the classroom -- but letting the teachers experience it as well -- was very beneficial."
"Great PD session--so valuable to be given so many great ideas and tips in a short amount of time. The takeaways from the session can immediately be put into action in any classroom at any level."
"This workshop was beneficial for all teachers, both new and veteran. Good ideas and items to think about were presented for establishing classroom procedures."
"It is extremely beneficial that [the presenter] is a teacher and understands what happens in a classroom day to day. I also liked the positive outlook on how to form relationships first and the easy but helpful ways to manage behaviors."
"Very well-organized, useful information, and engaging presentation style!"
"The presenter knew his stuff and shared his personal experiences as a principal, parent, and teacher. He was very effective and easy to listen to."
"The work with scenarios and determining best strategies for approaching different parental issues was very beneficial."
"I thought this was the most useful P.D. I've had in a long time and I've worked in five school districts."
"Hearing how the procedure should be set up in a classroom and getting specific examples of what others are doing was beneficial. I have been doing bellringers, but they felt like they were beginning to invade instruction time too much. Now I know why!"
"I appreciated that you applied what you were sharing to various subjects as well as you built into the session enough time to answer specific questions."
"It’s always a bonus when strategies can directly and immediately be used in my classroom. I felt that I walked away from this PD and was ready to try some ideas the next day. For me, any strategy that gets my students engaged and thinking while having a little fun is so important."
"Well-paced and informative. I came away with a few things to implement immediately."
